Representative Projects

Vernonia Schools UGB Amendment

Winterbrook provided pro bono assistance to the City of Vernonia preparing findings for an Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) amendment that allowed the placement of a new school outside of the floodplain.

Leach Botanical Garden Master Plan

On September 29, 2010, the Portland City Council gave its unanimous support to the Leach Botanical Garden Master Plan.  Winterbrook's Tim Brooks served on the Steering Committee for the plan and presented the committee's findings at the Council hearing.  The planning process began in 2006 and included detailed review of garden programming, design, and natural resource protection.  Major funding to implement the first phase of the plan was made possible from PDC's Lents Urban Renewal Area.  To see the plan, visit:

Neighborhood Advocacy

Winterbrook works with neighborhoods and community groups to ensure compliance with comprehensive plans and statewide planning goals.

Greg Winterowd served as OAPA president and also chairs the Emerging Issues Committee for the APA Chapter Presidents Council.

Sunnyside Neighborhood Association

Tim Brooks serves as President of the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association.

Development Review Advisory Committee

Tim served on the City of Portland DRAC for several years.

LCDC Goal 14 and Affordable Housing Committees

Greg served on two state-level committees helping to draft safe harbors for residential density and mix and addressing the effectiveness of Oregon's housing goal in reducing housing costs.
