Leach Botanical Garden

Portland Parks & Recreation

Winterbrook leads the land use and environmental planning tasks for the Upper Garden Development Project at Portland’s Leach Botanical Garden.  The project team, led by Land Morphology, is developing plans for new botanical collections, a new facility entrance, and new buildings including a visitor center, education building and greenhouses.

Previously, Winterbrook assisted with preparation of the 2010 Leach Botanical Garden Master Plan, working with Portland Parks and Recreation on  programming, design, and natural resource planning tasks. Principal Tim Brooks served on the Master Plan Steering Committee. His involvement with the garden dates back 30 years: he prepared an inventory of the garden plant collection, cataloged garden plants, designed plant labels, assisted with public outreach efforts, and served on the garden’s Education Committee for many years.
